Do I need nike plus sensor with iPod Nano 7h generation?
I want to buy a iPod Nano just for the nike + support and logging my daily runs. is it mandatory to have the sensor in the shoe?

If you are buying the 7th Generation Nano you do not need the sensor.
No, it's not. Neither the 6th nor 7th generation nano needs the sensor. I have the 7th generation and use the running app all the time. Have never used the sensor. Do expect to need to calibrate the app from time to time, as it will be off, distance wise.
